Natalia Konstantinova is a great enthusiast with over 10 years' experience in the application of Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, IT and machine learning technologies to real world problems. She got her PhD from the University of Wolverhampton and worked in various fields such as machine translation, ontologies, information extraction and currently dialogue systems and chatbots. She is currently Lead Software Engineer in the R&D department of First Utility, the UK's largest independent energy provider, supplying gas and electricity to around one million UK homes.
Natalia is still participating in academia by serving as Associate Editor of the Cambridge Journal of Natural Language Engineering, collaborating over research papers and organising conferences and workshops. Jamie Shiers is currently Leader of the Data Preservation for Long-Term Analysis in High Energy Physics (DPHEP) project that involves all of the major (HEP) laboratories and experiments worldwide and collaborates actively with other disciplines. DPHEP is focusing on solutions to long-term exa-scale data preservation: data-related standards are clearly of key importance.
Jamie has been involved for many years in a large scale data management, object and relational database systems and services, distributed application design, implementation and support as well as many operations and services. Dr Redouane Boumghar is Research Fellow at the European Space Agency Operations Center, based in Germany (ESA/ESOC). He has a PhD in Robotics and Embedded Systems and makes extensive use of information entropy for multi-robot cooperative navigation in unknown environment. As Solution Development Manager for Honda of the UK Manufacturing in Swindon, Tristan is responsible for implementing new technology across the plant to ensure it is as productive, efficient and safe as possible.

Huseyin is a data scientist and explorer with specific interests in inter-disciplinary applications of machine learning methods and statistical strategies in knowledge discovery from very high-dimensional data. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and established a special session "Bringing Big Data to its Knees" at IEEE EMBC (Osaka, 2013; Chicago, 2014; Milan, 2015; Florida, 2016). Huseyin is currently Reader in Computer Science and Director of Enterprise & Engagement within the Department of Computer and Information Sciences of the University of Northumbria in Newcastle, where he also leads Big Data analytics research team. Among his projects, Huseyin has recently started working on two industrial Big Data projects (funded by InnovateUK-KTP) in collaboration with GE PII Oil and Gas Ltd and Lucion Environmental Ltd. Huseyin is also a member of Creative Fuse North East project funded by European Regional Development Fund and Arts and Humanities Research Council, where he is investigating how data science can help increase our innovation capacity. In addition to his academic roles and research projects, Huseyin is an Advisory Board member of the North East Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence, a Steering Group member of Digital Catapult North East and Tees Valle, and a member of the CyberNorth Initiative.
